I’ve never ridden a Segway® PT before; do I need training?
No need to worry and thank you for saving your first experience with us! Training is provided in both your 60 minute and 90 minute Beginner Segway® PT Adventures. Your spectacular tour guide will ensure you are comfortable and competent before zipping along with you on the trails!
Is there a weight restriction on the Segway® PTs?
We require that all riders be a minimum of 60lbs and a maximum of 250lbs. This is in order to ensure the proper functioning of the Segway® PT and to ensure all guests’ safety.
How far does the tour go?
How far we go depends on the skills of the riders and if you choose the 60 min or the 90 min tour.
Do I need to make a reservation?
We strongly recommend you make a reservation beforehand in order to ensure you receive the time slot you are hoping for, but we will accept walk-ins based upon availability!
What should I bring with me to my tour?
1. Closed-toed shoes (Runners are ideal)
2. Definitely come dressed for the weather as our tours run rain or shine. This includes rain gear during the rainy months and snow gear during the winter (don't forget winter gloves and toques that fit under a helmet!).
3. Sunglasses and a camera.
4. Sunscreen and bug-spray for summer months.
5. A positive attitude and the courage to try something new!
6. Cash to tip your fabulous tour guides!
*Please note there is no cargo holders on the Segways, so if you choose to bring items with you on a tour you will also have to bring a backpack to put them in!
Is it hard to ride a Segway® PT?
No, they’re self-balancing! After training on the Segway® PT in the 30 min Segway® PT Clinic, we’re sure you'll feel confident!
Can we rent a Segway® PT?
Unfortunately not. Our insurance policy states all Segway® PT tours must be accompanied by a Tour Guide. But don’t worry – they’re really nice and fun!
How old do I need to be to ride a Segway® PT?
We welcome all riders between 14 and 114! Unfortunately children under the age of 14 are unable to partake in our Beginner Segway® PT Adventures but please give us a call for more information on our Kids Tours.
What if I have to cancel?
Tour details including dates or number of passengers can be changed with 48 hour notice.
What if it rains or snows on the day of my tour?
We go rain or shine! If you're lucky, you’ll get the Rainbow Tour! However, we will cancel the Segway® PT tour if there is lightning or heavy snowfall. (Yes, we go in the winter!) You can also reschedule your tour date with 48 hour notice.
Should I tip my tour guide?
Tipping is entirely up to you! Our guides appreciate tips and if you feel they have provided you with exceptional service, feel free to show that.
